Maple Rosemary Fried Chicken Sandwich

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs chicken breast sliced thin
  • 3 cups flour
  • 3 tbsp Maple Rosemary Seasoning
  • 1 cup water
  • Oil for frying (cast iron, deep fryer, or pan fry)

Glaze

  • 2 tsp Maple Rosemary seasoning
  • ½ cup of water
  • 2 tbsp Maple Syrup
  • Optional 1 tablespoons Hot Sauce

Burger Set

  • Burger Bun
  • Dill Pickles Sliced 4 each per Sandwich
  • Lettuce
  • Mayonnaise

Procedure

  1. Mix flour and Maple Rosemary Seasoning in a bowl.
  2. Reserve 1 cup of seasoned flour mixture.
  3. Mix 1 cup of reserved seasoned flour with water to make a batter.
  4. Coat chicken pieces in the batter, then dredge in the dry seasoned flour until fully coated.
  5. Heat oil in a cast iron skillet, deep fryer, or large pan over medium heat.
  6. Fry chicken pieces in batches until golden brown and cooked through, about 8-12 minutes depending on size.
  7. Drain on rack or paper towels..
  8. Glaze: combine seasoning, maple syrup and water in a medium fry pan on medium low heat cook until sticky.
  9. Toss chicken and glaze in a stainless steel or glass bowl.
  10. Set up burger and serve hot.
