Bacon Cheddar Stroganoff
Ingredients
- ½ onion small diced
- 2 cups sliced mushrooms
- 1.5 pounds ground beef (stew meat) or turkey
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 teaspoon chopped garlic
- 1 cup red wine
- 1 tbsp beef base or 1 cup beef stock
- 4 oz cream cheese
- 3 tbsp Bacon Cheddar Seasoning
- 1 cup water (skip if using beef stock)
- 1 pound egg noodle
- 1 cup sour cream
Procedure
- In a large oiled pot on medium heat cook onion and mushrooms until onions are
- translucent
- Add ground meat and break apart while mixing in the pot.
- After the meat is broken apart Add garlic and continue cooking for 1 minute
- With a large spoon scoop out some of the fat from the ground beef and discard
- Add red wine and cook until wine reduces half way
- Add beef base, cream cheese, bacon cheddar seasoning and mix until well incorporated
- Add water and egg noodle cook for 6-8 min
- Reduce heat to low then add sour cream and fold into dish.
